Tegen bezuinigingen - Vóór solidariteit

De regering bezuinigt, de regering maakt kapot wat we nodig hebben in ons bestaan. Dat bezuinigingsbeleid zelf moet daarom kapot. Daarom: op 15 september actie.
De actie is een protest tegen het bezuinigingsbeleid: tegen Bezuinigingen die pijn toebrengen, leed berokkenen, vaak juist aan toch al kwetsbare mensen. Bezuinigingen in de zorg, waardoor mensen hun PGB kwijtraken of extra moeten betalen voor geestelijke gezondheidszorg. Bezuinigingen in onderwijs, waardoor bijvoorbeeld passend onderwijs voor kinderen die een extra steuntje nodig hebben afgebroken wordt. Bezuinigingen in kunst en cultuur, die de keus aan optredens uithollen, bezoek aan optredens duurder maken en mensen hun baan kosten. Bezuinigingen in de kinderopvang, die voor veel mensen duurder wordt. Rijke mensen houden intussen hun hypotheekrente, ondernemers blijven profteren van belastingvoordelen op onze kosten. Geld dat er niet is voor zorg en OV, is er opeens wèl voor een dure JSF-straaljager.
We willen dat dit hardvochtige beleid stopt. Daarom houden we dit protest. De actie beoogt tevens de aandacht te vestigen op komende acties buiten Tilburg. Op 19 september vindt in Den Haag onder meer de actie 'Walk of Shame Tour' plaats: om 11.58 verzamelen op het Plein. Op http://www.walkofshametour.nl/ vindt je meer.
Nederland staat niet op zichzelf. In Spanje, Griekenland, Italië en Groot-Brittannië wordt hard bezuinigd - en geprotesteerd tegen bezuinigingen. De mensen in die landen geven met hun verzet een goed voorbeeld, zij verdienen solidariteit.

15 september: square protest Tilburg
Against austerity for solidarity
The government imposes cuts, the government destroys just what we need in our existence. Therefore, those austerity policies themselves have to be destroyed. Therefore: action on 5 september.
The action is a protest against austerity: against cuts that bring hurt and suffering, often to people who are already vulnerable. Cuts in healthcare: people losing their pasonal helath budget PGB, or having to pay extra for mental health care. Cuts in education, which damages, for instance, special education for children needing some extra support. Cuts in art and culture, which will diminish choice in performances and concerts, makes visiting them more expensive, and costs people their jobs. Cuts in child care whcih will become more expensive for many people. Meanwhile, rich people keep their tax subsidies for buying a house, entrepreneurs keep their tax advantages on our expense. Money that's unavalible for health and education, suddenly appears for an expensive JSF fighter plane. We want these harsh policies to be stopped.
We also want to raise some attention for other actions, outside of Tilburg. For instance, there will be a 'Wall of Shame Walk' in The Hague on 19 September assembling in at 11.58 at the Plein. More info at http://www.walkofshametour.nl/
The Netherlands are not alone. In Spain, Greece, Italy, Britain, harsh cuts are being imposed and protests are being held against these cuts. The people in those countries give a good exemple with their resistance, they deserve solidarity.
